industrialized world, we are most familiar with "conventional" medicine,
practiced by medical doctors of various specialties, using combinations of
pharmaceuticals, therapies, and surgeries. Healing goes far beyond this!

Types of healing discussed in this site are comonly known as
"holistic". There are various types of these.

Reiki is a simple and powerful system of healing that can
transform lives. Reiki works on the body, mind, and emotional and spiritual
levels. It releases blocked energy, promotes relaxation and reduces stress.
Reiki can enhance intuition, meditation and personal spiritual evolution. Reiki
is a system of energy healing which originated in Japan.

Anothert type of healing which can be done is a healing
circle, which is a circle, possibly a Wiccan circle, possibly another type
of circle, for the purpose of healing. The person(s) to be healed may be
present, in which case often hands-on "energy" healing is done. The person may
be some distance away, or perhaps even on the other side of the world. In any
case, healings are always done with the consent of the person(s) to be healed.

Energy and prayer may also be used to convey healing energy,
with or without a formal system such as Reiki, or it may be done in the context
of any goodness-oriented religion. Or, it may be little more than sending "good
thoughts" to someone who is in need or ill.

Healing may also be done with the empathic layer of psychic
phenomenon, as well as it can through the telepathic layer of psychic
phenomenon. It must be done differently though.
